Floral Prints

Flowers are where most of my painting starts, so this is the largest print type in the shop. It runs from loose watercolour peonies and abstract flower bunches, through the striped hydrangea sets in pink, blue, purple and green that recur all through the catalogue, to meadow wildflowers for a girl's nursery and Frida Kahlo's colourful bloom portraits. There is a quieter corner too — floral anatomy, where a human heart, a brain, an eye or a pregnancy study is drawn wrapped in flowers, and which sits as easily in a clinic corridor as in a hallway at home.

Colour is the fastest way to shop this page. Blush and pastel pink carry the peony work, navy and green run through the botanical florals, and lilac and purple sit with the nursery pieces. Several of the wildflower sets can be personalised with a child's name. Every design is painted in watercolour, printed to order on heavy matte paper and shipped unframed, in seven sizes from 5x7 up to 16x20 inches (13x18 to 41x51 cm).

Which floral prints work best in a nursery?

The wildflower and meadow sets, and the softer hydrangea groupings in blush or lilac. They read gently from across a room rather than shouting, and several can be personalised with a name, which makes them a common baby shower gift.

Are the flowers hand-painted or digital?

Hand-painted in watercolour first, then scanned and prepared for print. That is why the petal edges stay soft and slightly uneven rather than sharp-cut.

How do I hang a set of three flower prints?

In a row at the same height with about 5 cm (2 in) between frames, centred roughly 145 cm (57 in) from the floor. On a narrow wall, stack the three vertically instead and keep the same gap.
