Forever Artify — Escudo de bodas y monograma

A wedding crest is not a picture for a wall. It is a small piece of artwork you will use dozens of times: on the invitations, the menus, the napkins, a wax seal, the welcome sign, the thank-you cards afterwards. So it is painted and delivered as files rather than as a print, and the point of it is that one monogram holds the stationery together from the save-the-date to the last envelope.

What do I actually receive?

Two files. A high-resolution PNG on a transparent background, which is the one a stationer, a napkin printer or an embroiderer will ask for, because it drops onto any colour of card or linen. And a high-resolution JPG on white, for laying out invitations yourself. Both print cleanly up to 16x20 in (40.6 x 50.8 cm). Nothing is posted, so there is no parcel to wait for.

Classic monogram or the Love Story crest?

The classic crest is your initials and date wrapped in one floral theme — sage green and white rose, classic blue hydrangea, blush pink and green, or wildflower with a gingham bow — and I will match your own wedding colours if you send them. The Love Story crest adds four or five small icons that belong only to you. Choose objects rather than ideas: your dog, the city where you got engaged, the venue, the drink you always order. A thing can be painted in a centimetre of space; a sentiment cannot.

When should I order it?

Before the stationery goes to print, which is earlier than most couples expect. A proof comes by email in about two to five business days, or three to six for the Love Story crest, and there are one or two rounds of revisions after that. A crest needs no photograph of the day, so nothing stops it being finished months in advance.

The other wedding commissions, the bouquet painting and the venue illustration, are on the wedding art page. Couple gifts covers the smaller pieces for an engagement or an anniversary, and family gifts the portraits and birth flower prints.
